Industrial-Grade Stable Transfer Solution for Deep Cryogenic Media
In industrial cryogenic liquefied gas transfer scenarios, conventional cryogenic pumps generally face four persistent industry pain points: media leakage risks caused by seal failure under ultra-low temperature conditions, excessive energy waste from high cold loss during long-term operation, cumbersome and inefficient pre-cooling processes under intermittent start-stop conditions, and excessive equipment footprint that fails to adapt to compact production line layouts for high-flow, high-head requirements. To address these industry-wide challenges, we have independently developed the SLP-85/160ML.100-75DR.702-01 vertical cryogenic centrifugal pump. With its customized cryogenic structure design, mature hydrodynamic optimization scheme, and full-link safety redundancy configuration, it provides a highly reliable, low-energy, easy-to-maintain one-stop solution for -196°C grade ultra-low temperature media transfer.
Core Structure & Technical Principle
This pump adopts a vertical coaxial integrated submerged structure. The drive motor and pump head impeller are directly connected coaxially through a rigid coupling, completely eliminating vulnerable transmission components such as belt drives and gearboxes used in traditional horizontal pumps, increasing transmission efficiency to over 95%. Meanwhile, the vertical layout reduces the horizontal installation footprint to 35% of that of horizontal pumps with the same performance. It can be directly adapted to various installation scenarios, including built-in storage tank installation, skid-mounted module integration, and compact plant pipeline layout, without complex civil foundation construction, greatly reducing on-site installation costs.
For the core requirements of cryogenic working conditions, all wetted components of the pump body are made of cryogenic-grade 304/316L austenitic stainless steel (special materials such as Hastelloy and Monel alloy can be customized to adapt to corrosive media). Each core component has undergone -196°C cryogenic aging treatment and metallographic stabilization testing to completely eliminate internal material stress, avoid material shrinkage, deformation and brittle fracture in ultra-low temperature environments, and ensure the structural stability of the equipment under extreme working conditions.
The fluid transmission core adopts a full three-dimensional flow closed impeller design. The flow channel profile is optimized through CFD hydrodynamic simulation, which greatly reduces eddy current loss and turbulence disturbance in the flow channel, and achieves efficient and stable media pressurization under rated working conditions. At the same time, the optimized inlet inducer structure effectively reduces the required NPSH (Net Positive Suction Head) of the pump, fundamentally solves the cavitation problem caused by the easy vaporization of cryogenic media, and can maintain uninterrupted and stable transmission even under the conditions of low liquid level in the storage tank and fluctuating inlet pressure.
The sealing system adopts a combined labyrinth dry gas seal scheme, matched with a special dry nitrogen purge system. It forms a stable gas curtain isolation through a non-contact labyrinth structure, completely preventing the outward leakage of cryogenic media, while avoiding the friction loss of contact seals. The service life of the seals is more than 3 times that of traditional solutions. The pump unit is equipped with an independent cooling fan and cold standby idle operation mode as standard, which can maintain the pump body pre-cooling and pressure holding in the standby state, realize instantaneous start and stop under working condition requirements, without repeated pre-cooling processes, and perfectly adapt to both 24h continuous operation and intermittent start-stop working modes.
