Cryogenic reciprocating pump is a high-precision positive displacement fluid handling equipment specially designed for transferring cryogenic liquids (typically at temperatures below -150°C, such as liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, liquid argon, liquid natural gas (LNG), liquid hydrogen and liquid helium). It adopts a reciprocating working principle driven by electric motor, hydraulic system or pneumatic device: the piston/plunger makes linear reciprocating motion in the cylinder to change the volume of the pump chamber, realizing the suction and discharge of cryogenic media through the one-way action of inlet and outlet valves.
To adapt to ultra-low temperature working conditions, the pump is manufactured with cryogenic-resistant materials (e.g., stainless steel 304/316L, nickel-based alloys, aluminum alloys) for key components, and is equipped with professional thermal insulation structures, sealing systems and cold compensation devices. It features high discharge pressure, stable flow rate, strong medium adaptability and high volumetric efficiency, and can realize stepless flow regulation and safe operation under extreme low temperature and high pressure conditions. Meanwhile, the pump is designed with multiple safety protection functions (overpressure protection, dry running prevention, low temperature leakage alarm, etc.) to avoid risks such as medium vaporization, equipment frostbite and explosion caused by improper operation.
